Darjeeling is surrounded by NEPAL,CHINA AND INDIA.Actually,Darjeeling was one of the districts of Nepal but unfortunately it went to the hands of East India Company of England during the battle before the independence of India.Since then, it's included in the states of West Bengal (northern region,India)and it's rulling under by the Indian government.but in the year of 1986 the domesile people demanded it to be the statehood against the Indian govt coz of povertyness but in vain due to several political reasons.Later on, the Indian government dramatically agreed the demand under the Indian constitution as a frame of "DARJEELING GORKHA HILL COUNCIL"region.
